Story Time at BTB

speesees strives to be fun and fair in the way we design and manufacture our clothing. Handpicked, sewn and printed in India under Fair Trade, each cotton speesees piece is buttery soft and has a unique, handcrafted quality.

Our cotton is grown organically by a group of humble organic farmers, or Quanta Impex, in central India. Once picked from its flower, the cotton and seed are separated through the cotton gin, the cotton is compressed, and brought to market via oxen and cart. Once the cotton is spun, knit and dyed with low-impact, environmentally-sound dyes. Next, the cotton is brought to a small village, where the garments are printed and our team of energetic seamsters work in a sweatshop-free environment to sew each piece and bring the line to life. We work with them to synergistically create the nicest line possible, meeting design standards and ensuring quality control.

All around blog world, people are speaking GREEN. How to live a little more green, how to parent a little more green, how to help keep the world around us (including our kiddos) a little more green! So, we thought we should share with you a wonderful product that we are carrying down at Belly to Baby. Green to Grow bottles.Bisphenol A-free and phthalate-free. Until recently, if you wanted to avoid these nasty chemicals, your only option was glass bottles. However, these bottles are made from PES plastic and are tested in the U.S.A. to make sure that they meet all quality standards. They are pretty stinkin' cute to boot!
